Very listenable, finely honed mix of electronica and pop from this NYC band, with some nice soulful vocals on top. This actually sounds like something you haven't heard a thousand times before - there's a musicianship and songcraft here that goes way beyond most of the electro/pop stuff out there right now. Nothing released yet, but for now you can sample a bunch of other songs on their website.
If you're in the city, there's a benefit show happening tonight (Saturday, September 10) at Rare-NYC (416 West 14th Street, New York, NY 10014, tel. 212-675-2220) starting at 8 PM featuring these guys and a host of other bands. The entry fee/donation is $10, with all proceeds going to the Hurricane Katrina Displaced Residents Fund...
