This has been around the blog circuit a few times already, but it's just too damn good not to post here. Perry Wright is the man behind these songs, described on the band's website as "the unnervingly brilliant youngster" - a label I really can't argue with, tongue-in-cheek or not. The Mother of Love Emulates the Shapes of Cynthia is the latest album - if you have a minute, read through the album notes to get a better idea of what this project is all about. Then you can go buy it at insound.
On tour October 12-31 with the Mountain Goats... sadly, no LA shows, but keep an eye out if you're on the East Coast.
